District Tournament Results
Congratulations to the Central Crossing Wrestling team for finishing 10th place in the District tournament this past weekend. Vince Pickett and Gage Hysell qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament being held this Thur/Fri/Sat at the Schottenstein Center. Vince Pickett tore through his competition beating his opponent in the finals by 13 points. Gage Hysell also qualified for the finals but came up short in his final match. Gage and Vince will both be wrestling this Thursday at 6 pm at the Schott. Also winning matches at the District tournament were Josh Wimer, Dez Hauber, and Aaron Hardy.

Sectional Results
The Comets Wrestling team finished 4th out of 13 teams this past weekend at the Westland Sectionals Tournament. Vince Pickett, Josh Wimer, Gage Hysell, Aaron Hardy, and Dez Hauber qualified for the District Tournament this Fri & Sat being held at Hilliard Darby. Joe Householder placed 5th and is an alternate for the District Tournament. Vince Pickett & Gage Hysell took first place, Aaron Hardy and Josh Wimer took 2nd, Dez Hauber was 3rd, all qualifying for the District Tournament. Kyle Farris just missed out for qualifying as he placed 6th. Come out and support the wrestlers this weekend at Hilliard Darby where they will be fighting for the top 4 spots to qualify for the State Tournament. Comets Wrap up Regular Season
The Central Crossing Wrestlers finished out their regular season with 3 straight hard fought dual meets. The Comets were in every dual taking all 3 teams down to the wire, but in the end, the 3 forfeits given up by the Comets proved to be too much to come back from.
The Comet wrestlers are gearing up for the postseason where they will be competing at the Westland Sectionals February 19 with the top 4 advancing to the District Tournament at Hilliard Darby February 25& 26.

State Tournament Ticket Information
Watkins Memorial Results
The Comet Wrestling team placed 5th in the 10 team Watkins Memorial tournament this past weekend. Vince Pickett won his 4th tournament of the year. Josh Wimer and Gage Hysell were runner up. Dez Hauber was 3rd, Aaron Hardy 4th, Trenton Thomas 5th, Joe Householder 5th, Kyle Farris 7th, Jorge Jimenez 7th, and Tommy Stone and Hunter Taylor took 8th. The Comets next competition is a home make up on Wednesday February 9 which will include Hilliard Darby and Bishop Ready. The Comets will then wrap up their regular season competition with a dual Thursday February 10 at Grove City. The Grove City Dual will also feature a dual meet with our Jr Comets vs the Lil Dawgs prior to varsity competition. Please come out and cheer the wrestlers on.

Watkins Memorial Information
New Lexington Results
The Central Crossing Wrestling team took home the second place hardware this past weekend at the 22 Team Jimmy Wood New Lexington tournament. We had 5 of the 10 kids in the main pools make it to the finals. Taking home the championship was Joe Householder at 112, Aaron Hardy at 140, and Vince Pickett at 160. Gage Hysell and Dez Hauber placed 2nd. Josh Wimer placed 3rd, Trenton Thomas placed 4th, and Kyle Farris placed 8th. Good Job Comets and keep up the hard work!
